Mr Savio Fernandes is a commerce graduate from Mumbai University. Besides being a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India. He has completed his Associateship from the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, majoring in Reinsurance.

During his 33 years of service he has worked in various departments within the organization. He has had a particularly long innings in Marine as a class underwriter. He has also conducted workshops in Marine and Oil and Energy business for GIC Re’s clients in both domestic and overseas markets. During his tenure in overseeing foreign operations, GIC Re office in GIFT City, Gujarat and Lloyds Syndicate, London commenced business operations.

He is now reassigned to Marine Department and also heading the Aviation and Motor Underwriting Departments.
