Ms Babita Amin is a post-graduate in Commerce from Mumbai University and Fellow from the Insurance Institute of India.

She joined GIC Re in 1988 and has been handling Finance and Reinsurance portfolios over the years - underwriting both Treaty and Facultative - Domestic and Foreign reinsurance business iro Property, RIWW, Marine, Agriculture (including Retrocession), Retakaful, Health ,Credit, Liability and Miscellaneous Classes.

Currently, on promotion to Deputy General Manager, she is in-charge of Property Domestic Business, Engineering & Large Risk and also Retrocession at GIC Re HO.
