Content Ownership, Moderation & Approval Policy (COMAP)

Introduction

Content needs to be contributed by the authorized Content Manager from Departments, Branches, and Subsidiaries of GIC Re in a consistent fashion to maintain uniformity and standardization.

Responsibilities of Contributors

To ensure that all content posted on the website is authentic, up-to-date, and accurate, officers contributing the content must thoroughly check them for authenticity before sending it to the Web Information Manager.

The Web Information Manager is responsible for the overall quality and quantity of information on the Website. They will supervise and ensure that authentic and updated information is available on the website.

General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re) has a Content Contribution, Moderation, and Approval Policy (CMAP) stating the responsibilities, authorization, and workflow details regarding content publishing on the site.

Content Publishing

Content creation, modification, and approval are handled internally by the concerned departments. The approved content is then received by the Corporate Communication Department via email, which publishes the content through an appointed third-party vendor.

Moderation Criteria

  • Accuracy: Content must be fact-checked and supported by reliable sources.
  • Relevance: Content should align with GIC Re’s mission, objectives, and target audience.
  • Language and Tone: Content should be clear, professional, and free from grammatical errors.
  • Compliance: Content must adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, including copyright and privacy laws.

Content Updates and Maintenance

  • Periodic Review: Published content will undergo periodic reviews to ensure it remains accurate, relevant, and up to date.
  • Amendments: Contributors may be required to update or revise content based on changes in information, policies, or other relevant factors.
  • Archiving: Outdated or obsolete content may be archived or removed from the website as deemed necessary by GIC Re.

Amendments

GIC Re reserves the right to amend or modify this CMAP Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on this page, and continued contribution or use of the website after such changes will constitute acceptance of the new terms.
