Mrs. Jayashree Prabhu joined GIC Re in January 1998. An Economics graduate from the University of Mumbai and an Associate of the Insurance Institute of India, she brings nearly three decades of rich experience across Reinsurance, Training, CSR, Investor Relations, Corporate Communication, Credit Rating, and Pension Administration.

As Deputy General Manager, she heads the Life and Health Reinsurance portfolios along with the Obligatory Technical Department. Recently she was also given charge of underwriting of Miscellaneous, Personal Accident, Liability, and Credit Reinsurance business for both domestic and international markets.

Throughout her accomplished career, she has demonstrated exceptional capability in handling a broad spectrum of strategic and operational assignments, contributing meaningfully to business expansion, stakeholder relationships, and organizational excellence. Her rich cross-functional experience and profound understanding of the reinsurance industry enable her to lead complex business portfolios effectively, foster strategic partnerships, and further strengthen GIC Re's standing as a premier reinsurer in India and across global markets.
