Prerana Puthran joined in the year 1992 and has been associated across various profiles during her tenure within GIC Re.

A commerce graduate from Mumbai University and a Fellow of Insurance Institute of India (FIII), she has handled various departments such as Reinsurance, Claims Vertical, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Communications, Investor Relations and Credit Rating during her 33-year stint with the organisation.

Currently, she holds the position of Deputy General Manager, overseeing the underwriting of Miscellaneous, Personal Accident, Liability and Credit Re class of business – both Domestic and Foreign reinsurance business underwritten at GIC Re’s Head office.

Beyond the corporate world, a passionate music enthusiast and a firm believer of fitness as a way of life.
