Mr. Jetho joined GIC Re during November 1989. He is Bachelor of Commerce from Mumbai University and an Associate of Insurance Institute of India. Before joining GIC, he worked with Income Tax Department and Central Bank of India.

During his tenure of more than 36 years in GIC Re, Mr. Jetho worked in various Departments viz. Crop Insurance, Human Resources (HR), Reinsurance, ITMG-SAP, Obligatory Technical, Actuarial, Business Intelligence Unit (BIU), Investment Accounts Section and Finance – Business Accounts Section (Domestic and Life Re).

Since last 25 years, Mr. Jetho is active in the field of Reinsurance and handling assumed business as well as retro portfolio in GIC. For more than five years, he headed Aviation, Motor and Marine & Energy Departments.

Mr. Jetho was posted to GIC Re, Dubai Branch handling business emanating from Middle East & North Africa (MENA) Region.

Mr. Jetho was also posted to GIC Re South Africa Limited, a 100% Subsidiary Company at Johannesburg as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer handling reinsurance business in whole Africa Region, especially South Africa.

Mr. Jetho was also involved as Core Team Member, being Reinsurance Domain for implementation & upgradation of SAP (FSRI) module in GIC. He also authored SAP (FSRI) manual on Reinsurance Underwriting, Protection and Claims module.

Mr. Jetho is also a visiting Faculty to National Insurance Academy and Insurance Institute of India and also imparting in-house training on Reinsurance.

Currently, Mr. Jetho is part of IFRS (Ind AS) Implementation Project in GIC Re, India.
