Mr. Rajesh Khadatare joined GIC Re in May 1988. He holds degrees in Commerce and Law from the University of Mumbai and is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India.

Over his 38 years of service, he has spent nearly 23 years handling various aspects of Business Accounts Operations, including taxation, and approximately 12 years in Reinsurance Underwriting, covering Property, Liability, Motor, Pool Operations and Retrocession business. He played a seminal role in establishing the Fair Nat-Cat Reinsurance Pool (FNCRIP) in 2013 and the Indian Nuclear Pool (INIP) in 2015.

He currently handles Investment Operations and is also closely associated with the External Relationship Departments, the Official Language Department, Internal Audit and Legal.

He represents GIC Re at various conferences and has travelled extensively within India and across international insurance markets to support business development and growth.

Passionate about his work, he also enjoys travelling, sports and listening to music.
