A cost and management accountant, with a Certificate of Merit, from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and qualifications of FIII and ACII, London, he presently manages the Finance functions in General Insurance Corporation of India. During the course of his 36 years of service with the Corporation, he has worked in several sections of reinsurance and finance.
